If you're trying to find a 100% FREE way to create a logo, there are a few websites out there that have some tools that you can use that will let you create one quickly and easily, but you'll need to use clipart that comes with the service and you'll be relying on your own visual expertise. In all honesty, it's hard to receive much support from a free service, like one of those.
However, if you have a flair for what looks good and you're into bootstrapping your web business, then one of these tools is going to be better than nothing. If you have a budget of $100 - $500, then getting one created by a professional designer is definitely the way to go.
Why Its Better To Pay For A Logo
As a former internet marketing coach for 1 1/2 years, I did one on one coaching with approximately 150 people (over that period of time) who were starting their own online businesses. Like I mentioned above, if you have $100 or more, then outsource your logo to a company or designer who knows how to create quality designs.
